WHAT TO PREPARE:
Please prepare one (1) of the provided selections from THE WILD PARTY based on the role in which you are most interested. If you are interested in more than one role, please prepare one (1) selection, but indicate on your audition form all roles in which you are interested. Accompanist will be provided for the vocal audition and callbacks. A Cappella auditions will not be permitted.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:

The Wild Party deals with themes including sex, violence, and drug use. Artists should be comfortable with suggestive content and very physical staging. Artists must be comfortable with their bodies at various states of undress during the performance. Due to the mature subject matter, all artists must be at least 18 years of age by the first rehearsal.

Queenie
Female Identified, 25-35, Mezzo-Soprano/Belter (F3-F5) 
Blonde and beautiful Vaudeville dancer. Sexy. Looks a little older and more tired than her age would indicate. Afraid of being alone. Has become addicted to Burrs' presence and ravenous sexual appetite. Hungry for something more. Excellent singer/actor/dancer.

Burrs (this role is on offer)
Male Identified, 30-40, Tenor (A2-A4)
 Handsome. A professional clown. Dangerous and charming all at once. Sexually ravenous and drawn to Queenie like a moth to the flame. Hurts somewhere deep inside, and slowly descends into jealous insanity. Excellent Singer/Actor.

Black
Male Identified, 25-35, Bari-Tenor (A2-G4)
 Strong, handsome, and poised without being posed. An enigmatic loner. Protective. No-nonsense kind of guy who cannot understand Queenie's attraction to Burrs. Excellent Singer/Actor. African American.

Kate
Female Identified, 20-35, Mezzo-Soprano/Belter (F3-E5)
 A lush. Likes to be the "life of the party." Always looking out for number one, and is jealous of Queenie. Sexy, sensual, and confident. Excellent Singer/Actor/Dancer.

Madeline True
Female Identified, 30-55 (Age Flexible), Mezzo-Soprano/Belter (A3-E5)
 A tired woman and an announced lesbian. Sexually hungry. Blunt and very dry. Excellent Singer/Actor. Strong Dancer.

Delores
Female Identified, 30-45 (Age Flexible), Mezzo-Soprano/Belter (A3-A5)
A party-goer pitching ideas and hoping to score with the famous producer, Sam. A wild woman of the night. Excellent Singer/Actor/Dancer.

Eddie
Male Identified, 30-45, Rich Baritone (A2-G5)
Former boxer. Mae's husband who is perhaps even more dim-witted than she is. Tall- A big oaf. Can be a lovable teddy bear but also a quick tempered brute. Adores his wife. Excellent Singer/Actor. Strong Dancer.

Mae
Female Identified, 25-45, Belter/Character Voice (A3-D5)
 Eddie's wife. Sweet and beautiful, but not particularly bright. Adores her husband and dotes on him. Petite- Small in stature. Excellent Singer/Actor/Dancer.

Sam
Male Identified, 30-50, Tenor (A2-A4)
 Busy producer and "attention whore." Trying to avoid the outrageous pitches made by Dolores, until it becomes sexual. Excellent Singer/Actor/Dancer.

Oscar D’Armano
Male Identified, 25-35, Tenor (A2-B4)
 Phil's brother and lover who dresses as his twin. A composer and an entertainer in every sense of the word. Very flamboyant. Excellent Singer/Actor/Dancer.

 The only minor at the party. Waifish and somewhat naïve. She is in over her head and trying to keep up. Will be cast age 18+. Excellent Singer/Actor/Dancer.

Max
Male Identified, 25-35, Tenor (A2-B4)
 One of the party goers and a member of the usual "gang." He is full of life and energy. Excellent Singer/Actor/Dancer.

Jackie
Male Identified, 20-30
, Non-Singer. Exquisite Dancer. Dances “Jackie’s Last Dance” at the end of the show.
